Social Impact Challenge

Adobe Social Impact Challenge

Information Systems partners with Adobe and a non-profit organization to host this social impact competition where student teams promote the non-profits mission.

Business Consulting Case Competition

The Business Consulting Case Competition hosted by Leavitt Partners and U Career Success at the David Eccles School of Business asks students to tackle a challenging case representing a healthcare company’s request for market expansion.

Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative

The Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative undergraduate case competition is an excellent opportunity for students to participate in a thought-provoking business ethics case they could face in their professional careers.

DOMO/Layton Construction Hackathon

Information Systems partners with DOMO and Layton Construction for an annual 48-hour Hackathon. Students use the DOMO Business Intelligence (BI) platform to provide solutions to a real-world problem.

Game Day Analytics Challenge

Hosted by Information Systems, student teams use Twitter data posted during the Super Bowl and analyze tweets for advertising insights. Winning teams receive cash, scholarships, and guaranteed interviews with sponsor companies.

Generative AI (chatGPT) Hackathon

Hosted by Information Systems, student teams use chatGPT to extract information from competition datasets to create value for their sample company. Winning teams receive prizes.

Marketing for Nonprofits Challenge

Hosted by Blip Billboards and U Career Success at the David Eccles School of Business, this unique multi-phase challenge brings student teams together to create outdoor media strategies for nonprofit organizations. Winning teams move through three phases, potentially representing the University of Utah and $10,000.

Salesforce Chatbot IDEAthon Challenge

The Information Systems Program at the Eccles School is partnering with Salesforce for an IDEAthon challenge. Undergraduate student teams participate in building a chatbot to solve real-world business problems.

The Utah Real Estate Challenge (UREC) competition fosters an understanding of real estate development by giving students the opportunity to prepare and present a real estate development plan.

Welcoming Spaces Challenge

Hosted by Goff Strategic Leadership Center, the Welcoming Spaces Challenge gives student teams the opportunity to use design thinking as they analyze University spaces and present solutions to make them more welcoming for our campus community.
