Opportunity Scholars Program Application
To apply, complete and submit the electronic application.
Application Requirements
- First-Generation: Your parents have not graduated from a four-year higher education institution in the U.S. You are the first in your immediate family to attend college.
- Need: You have a demonstrated financial need, as evidenced through federal student aid. If you do not qualify for federal student aid, please still submit your Opportunity Scholars application. If you have any questions, contact Jason Atherton.
- Business major: You must be declared in a business major (pre-business, intermediate, or business major).
- GPA: University of Utah cumulative grade point average is greater than 3.0. Continued eligibility in the program is dependent on maintaining a GPA greater than 3.0. If transferring from another university of college, your transfer cumulative GPA must be at 3.0 or higher.
