Application Requirements

• First-Generation: Your parents have not graduated from a four-year higher education institution in the U.S. You are the first in your immediate family to attend college.
• Need: You have a demonstrated financial need, as evidenced through federal student aid. If you do not qualify for federal student aid, please still submit your Opportunity Scholars application.
• Business major: You must be declared in a business major (pre-business, intermediate, or business major).
• GPA: University of Utah cumulative grade point average is greater than 3.0. Continued eligibility in the program is dependent on maintaining a GPA greater than 3.0. If transferring from another university or college, your transfer cumulative GPA must be at 3.0 or higher.
