Accounting Undergraduate Admission

The undergraduate degree in accounting gives students the chance to move beyond merely tracking income and assets. Engage in financial management, business transaction tracking, merger and acquisition strategy, tax strategy, and wealth management. Understand core business operations and engage in activities crucial to management and stakeholder decision-making.

Admissions Criteria

Accounting Admission (2025-26)*
  • Admitted to the Eccles School (Upper Division)
  • Completion of ACCTG 3100, FINAN 3020, IS 3060, MGT 3030, MKTG 3040, OSC 3440, and OSC 3050
  • B or higher in ACCTG 2100 and ACCTG 3100
  • 3.1 or higher total GPA

*Submitting an application does not guarantee admission. A committee will review students’ full academic records and admit them on a case-by-case basis. Admission to all Eccles School majors is subject to the Eccles School Repeat Policy.

Students who do not meet all of these criteria are still encouraged to apply.
The admission committee will conduct a holistic review and consider grades in quantitative courses, the number of repeated courses, and overall academic performance (including transfer coursework).
