Business Scholar Scholarships

Historically, up to 90% of Business Scholars receive some type of scholarship.

In addition to scholarships offered by the University of Utah, there are a number of scholarships available specifically for students in the Business Scholars and Business Scholars Transfer Program programs. All applicants will be considered for these scholarships and decisions will be made based on information provided in the program application.

Scholarship Details

The Business Scholars Program application also serves as your application for a scholarship.

  • Students that meet the application deadline and are accepted into the program qualify for a $1,000 scholarship minimum. Scholarship amounts are primarily based on academic merit.
  • Students with 3.7 GPA, a strong essay submission, and evidence of rigor both in and outside of the classroom, often receive merit-based scholarships.
  • Initial scholarship offers are included in the student’s acceptance letter along with additional details regarding the terms and conditions.

Out-of-State Students

Business Scholars Program students may also qualify for the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE). Through WUE, eligible out-of-state students pay no more than 150 percent of the resident tuition rate. This is a significant savings over out-of-state tuition and can be an excellent option for students who do not wish to establish Utah residency.

The Business Scholars Program scholarship can not be stacked with WUE. However, based on your offered award through Business Scholars, it may be in your best interest to take one scholarship over the other. Our team is happy to meet and discuss this. Contact us at BusinessScholars@Utah.edu for more information.
