Sophia Rosevear, a sophomore at the David Eccles School of Business, is making the most of her college experience by getting involved, building connections, and embracing new opportunities. Though still exploring her academic path, she is leaning toward a major in Finance with minors in Professional Selling and Business Development. With an open mind and a drive to learn, she is eager to discover where her passions will take her.
Her biggest piece of advice for fellow students is to get involved and network as much as possible. She believes that joining clubs and organizations and forming meaningful relationships can open unexpected doors and create opportunities for the future. Sophia has taken her own advice, actively participating in Chi Omega Sorority, MUSS, and Business Scholars. She also serves as a Business Scholars Experience Ambassador and is currently working on rebuilding the Business Scholars Experience Program, ensuring future students have even better opportunities to grow and succeed.
Outside of class, Sophia loves spending time with friends and family, whether it’s simply talking or enjoying outdoor activities. She thrives on making memories and embracing new experiences. Some of her favorite college moments include cheering at football games, attending Greek Life events, and forming new friendships that make campus life so meaningful. One of her most cherished Eccles experiences is traveling to Los Angeles with Business Scholars in February 2024. The trip blended education, networking, and adventure, reinforcing her appreciation for hands-on learning and the incredible opportunities available through the Eccles School.
As she looks toward the future, Sophia is still deciding on the exact career path she wants to pursue, but she is focused on building a fulfilling career, continuing to grow her network, and traveling as much as possible. She is excited to take advantage of every opportunity that comes her way and is committed to lifelong learning and professional growth. With her passion for learning, involvement, and relationship-building, there is no doubt that Sophia will make a lasting impact wherever she goes.
