Sally Tran is a senior studying Information Systems with a minor in Management. Throughout her time here at the Eccles school and the U as a whole, she has been very involved in the Union Programming Council, where she holds the position of the Crimson Nights Board Director, Business Student Government (BSG), where she is the Director of Social Media, and University Ambassadors where she gets to share her love of the school to potential students.
In an interview with Sally, she described some of her favorite Eccles memories from her time in Business Student Government (BSG).
“BSG got invited to Spencer Fox Eccles’s portrait unveiling that is now on the second floor of the SFEBB,” said Sally. “I got to meet the Eccles Family, the Advisory Board, and more donors of the Eccles School. It was an amazing experience.”
Another of Sally’s favorite college experiences is the Crimson Nights that happens each semester, which she gets to help plan and organize with her role on UPC.
Looking back at all her amazing memories here at Eccles, Sally’s advice for fellow students is, “Never say no to any opportunity you are interested in. It’s scary at first, but it’ll be worth it in the end, and it’ll make your college experience!”
As proven by Sally’s experience, some of the best things happen when you take a risk and put yourself out there, such as applying to that officer position you have had your eye on or that job that sounds like it could be your dream career. Don’t let your fear be why you don’t get to enrich and better your college experience.
