Kade Schweitzer is a Senior studying Marketing with a Management Minor. During his time at the Eccles School, he has participated in many Eccles events through his photography and has served as lead intern with the Business, Marketing, and Communications Team (BMC) since his sophomore year. Outside of school, Kade enjoys photography, thrifting, sushi, Utah’s spectacular mountains, white sand beaches with 80-degree water, and anything music-related, especially Beyoncé.
In an interview with Kade, he discussed his favorite college experience, “I had the opportunity to learn from some of the most incredible professors, like Jeff Davis, Jennifer Cummings, Bill Oakley, Kate Cañas, and Georgi Rausch. I have gained so many important career and life skills from each of them.”
His most fond Eccles Experience was working as an intern for the BMC Team. “Over nearly three years with them, I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many incredible people and collaborating with various departments and programs within the business school. Special shoutout to the outstanding BMC team, especially Lisa Collins, for being the best ever.”
Kade advises his fellow students to get involved and make connections. “I know that sounds cheesy, and as students, we have heard it a thousand times, but as I reflect on my college experience and apply for jobs, I’ve realized the importance of building a network beyond the classroom. Building both personal and professional connections with fellow students can be extremely valuable in the future.” Emphasizing that your network is your most powerful tool, “don’t hesitate to invest time in it.”
