The USBA at the David Eccles School of Business provides students with opportunities to learn from sports industry professionals, gain hands-on experience, and build a strong network for future career success.
USBA hosts a variety of events with engaging activities throughout the semester including:
- Speaker Series: Inviting sports industry professionals to share their industry insights, career tips, and advice on breaking into the competitive industry. USBA invites many professionals from different business sectors, including marketing, sponsorships, event management, and more.
- Workshops: USBA provides hands-on skill development opportunities to help members stand out in the sports industry. These workshops focus on resume building, cover letter reviews, networking tips, and interview preparation specifically for sports-related roles.
- Group Outings: Members have the opportunity to experience the sports industry in action. For example, USBA recently partnered with the Utah Jazz for an event at the Delta Center, where members attended a game and heard directly from the Director of Corporate Partnerships and the Vice President of Community & Special Events.
With so many opportunities available, USBA is committed to supporting students’ personal and professional growth and preparing them for successful careers in the sports industry.
