Red Rocks Adobe Challenge
The Information Systems Program at the David Eccles School of Business, in collaboration with Adobe, U of U Red Rocks Gymnastics, and Tech-Moms, is hosting a business case competition.
This year’s competition puts students at the intersection of sports, creativity, and business strategy. Teams will craft a comprehensive marketing and sponsorship plan to help Red Rocks Gymnastics raise $2 million in sponsorships. Using Adobe Express, students will design branding concepts, social media mockups, and promotional assets that showcase how elite athletes can inspire meaningful sponsor partnerships.
Students will:
• Gain hands-on experience in strategic marketing, sponsorships, and digital design.
• Build a portfolio-ready project that demonstrates business acumen and creative skills.
• Collaborate with peers, connect with professionals, and create a real-world impact supporting Red Rocks athletes.

How it works
This case competition is open to all undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Utah. Participating students will be divided into teams of 2–3 members (each team must include at least one business student).
Each team will:
- Develop a strategic marketing plan (paper) that outlines how Red Rocks Gymnastics can secure $2 million in sponsorships.
- Build a sponsor-facing presentation (pitch deck) to communicate their plan persuasively.
- Design creative assets using Adobe Creative Cloud (branding visuals, social media mockups, and a short promotional video) to bring their strategy to life.
Teams will compete for one week to create the most compelling and professional sponsorship package across key judging categories. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges, and prizes will be awarded.

Join us to learn basic design principles to enhance your fundraising page for the Eccles Adobe Social Impact Challenge.
