QAMO Undergraduate Admission
The Quantitative Analysis of Markets & Organizations (QAMO) major is a rigorous course of study in the economic analysis of business decision-making. The major, which was developed jointly with the University of Utah’s Department of Economics, requires fewer courses than other business majors, allowing students space in their schedules for other curricular and extra-curricular activities. QAMO majors are not required to take the Eccles School core requirements, and instead follow a different core that includes advanced courses in mathematics, statistics, economics and business.
QAMO students can also choose from a menu of optional emphases in the various business disciplines. Emphasis requirements vary, but generally a student can add an emphasis by taking five or six upper-division business courses. Emphases are currently available in Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, and Operations & Supply Chain.
