Student Spotlight: Beth Huang
Beth Huang is a junior at the David Eccles School of Business, majoring in Marketing and minoring in Business Analytics.
Beth is very involved across several campus organizations, including leadership positions with Fashion in Business, the American Marketing Association, the Asian American Student Association, and the Operations & Supply Chain Club.
Outside of the classroom, Beth loves exploring creative outlets. You can often find her thrifting, trying new coffee shops with friends, running, hiking, reading, or picking up crafty hobbies like sewing and scrapbooking. These activities give her a sense of balance and help fuel her passion for fashion and marketing.
When asked for advice, Beth encourages other students to get involved with clubs they’re genuinely passionate about. She believes that joining an organization is one of the easiest and most meaningful ways to meet new people, build friendships, and find community. For her, involvement has made college more memorable and fulfilling.
Her favorite Eccles memory comes from her Business Scholars Chicago trip during freshman year, where she explored a new city, connected with classmates, and visited Wells Fargo to learn more about the company. She looks back on the experience as a moment that strengthened her friendships with her classmates and expanded her perspective.
Bath’s favorite college experiences come from the annual Fashion in Business x UPC fashion show. She first attended the event as a freshman and has since played a hands-on role in bringing it to life. She loves how the show brings together creativity and student talent across design, modeling, beauty, and production, reminding her why she’s passionate about the fashion industry.
After graduation, Beth hopes to work in the fashion industry, ideally in New York, Los Angeles, or abroad. She’s excited about pursuing roles in marketing, event planning, PR, or styling and is eager to continue growing within a field that connects creativity and strategy.
