2017-2018 Academic Year Eligibility

The application is open to current business students, transfer and pre-business students. Currently enrolled pre-business students can apply at the same time that they apply for admission to Upper Division. Please note that the majority of scholarships are awarded to declared business majors. Applicants will be considered for any, and all, undergraduate scholarships available through the Eccles School of Business and for which they may qualify.

The majority of undergraduate scholarships are awarded to students enrolled full-time (complete a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester). Scholarship recipients must maintain at least 3.2 GPA and continue to make progress towards a business degree at the University of Utah, unless an exception has been approved by the scholarship committee or program director. Please note that seniors graduating Fall 2017 are still eligible to apply. The committee will also consider applicants enrolled part-time as long as they qualify and are the best candidate for a particular scholarship.

The undergraduate scholarship awarding process is highly competitive. For the 2016-2017 academic year, the committee received 500 applications and awarded scholarships to less than 40% of applicants. The average scholarship amount awarded was $2,270 total; and, the recipients hold an average 3.70 cumulative GPA.
