University of Utah Ethics Case Competition
On Friday, February 6th, eight teams from the University of Utah competed in an Undergraduate Case Competition held at the David Eccles School of Business. The Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at the David Eccles School of business were the organizers of the event.
Each team received an ethics case 2 weeks prior to the competition date. During this time, they prepared their presentation to present to a panel of judges who act as a board of the company. The company this year was called Acli-mate.
The first half of the day the teams present their 15-minute presentation to the judges followed by 5 minutes of questions that the judges may have. After this, the teams receive a twist to the case, where they have 30 minutes to prepare their twist. Then they present their twist for 5 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of questions from the judges.
All eight teams did a wonderful job this year! You could tell a lot of hard work was put into preparing their presentations and the judges were very pleased with the caliber of work that was presented.
The winning team, Crimson 6, is pictured above. The team members consist of Kira Wachter, Andres David Lancheros, Paxton Klein, Cason Acor, Luke Freedom Hansen and David Sagae. Congratulations on your amazing accomplishment!
Also, thank you to our extraordinary panel of judges. They did a great job helping this competition run smoothly. Our judges this year were Tatiana Miller, Jeff Nielsen, Reyn Gallacher and Jeffery Welch.
