Kfir Eliaz has been the Ammon Ben-Natan Professor of Economics at the Eitan Berglas School of Economics at Tel Aviv University since 2015. His research focuses on novel economic questions that arise in the modern era of big data and advanced information technology. In particular, it focuses on how to design market mechanisms that preserve privacy, and on the manipulability of common machine-learning methods. In addition to his visiting professorship at the University of Utah, Eliaz has been a visiting professor at Columbia University, Aarhus University, and the University of Michigan. He has been a professor and an assistant professor at Brown University, and an assistant professor at New York University. He has a doctoral degree and a master of arts degree in economics from Tel Aviv University, as well as a bachelor of arts degree in economics and management
