Professor Iman Sheibany is an Assistant Professor of Accounting. Prior to joining the David Eccles School of Business, he was a lecturer at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and Mays Business School of Texas A&M University and a Quantitative Risk Researcher at ConocoPhillips Houston headquarter.

He obtained his Master’s in Financial Engineering from The University of Michigan, Master’s in Financial Economics from Texas A&M University and completed his Ph.D. in Accounting at the University of Minnesota. His primary field of research is the implications of corporate disclosures for the capital market, debt contracting, information economics, asset pricing, and macro-accounting.
