Areesha Nazir is a junior at the Eccles School majoring in marketing and information systems. Nazir has been active throughout campus via Business Scholars, the Pakistan Student Association, and Feed U Pantry. She is a rising leader who served the Union Programming Council as the Director of the Community Service Board and the Emerald Project as the Director of People Department.

Outside of the classroom, Nazir enjoys going to concerts. “I’ve had the opportunity to see so many of my top artists over the last couple of years, like Taylor Swift, Drake, SZA, Metro Boomin, and more!”

When asked about her favorite college experience to date, Nazir had difficulty picking just one. “There’s so many to choose from! I would definitely have to say Crimson Nights last Spring when the entire Union Programming Council went on stage to party during the last 30 minutes.” Another favorite was her Business Scholars trip to Dallas. “I met some of my really good friends on that trip and ended up taking the BCOR block. It was overall such a fun experience.”

Her advice to students is to get involved. “College is what you make of it, and taking classes is only half of it,” says Nazir. “This is a pivotal time in your life, a time that you will learn and grow more than ever before. Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way and shape yourself into the person you want to become!”
