2023 Inclusion & Business Strategy Case Competition
Friday, April 14, 2023 | 1 – 4 p.m. MT
Gather your team, gain valuable experience, network with employers, and win prize money! Our annual Inclusion & Business Strategy Case Competition is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen your skills and work within a team to solve a business case focused on inclusion. There will be a social hour with corporate partners and all participants after the event.
Teams will have the opportunity to work with our project client Waste Less Solutions, a nonprofit “committed to making a significant reduction in food waste in Utah” through education and food rescue.
Hosted by the Goff Strategic Leadership Center in partnership with the Office of Student Engagement and Assessment at the David Eccles School of Business and Westminster College.
Team Registration Info
Each team will elect a team captain who will be responsible for registering the team and disseminating information. The team captain will register ALL team members with their names, UID’s, and email addresses. Only one registration form per team. If students do not have a completed team, they will be waitlisted and added to other teams as available.
Team Guidelines
- Each team should have 2-5 members.
- Participants can be any year or major. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome.
- Diversity leads to more innovative ideas. As such, students are encouraged to consider multiple perspectives and identities when assembling your team.
- Each member of each team must participate fully.
- At least one team member must attend the Kick Off Event on March 13, 2023 at 4 p.m.
Competition Guidelines
- Format: The competition will take place in person in the Garff Auditorium.
- Corporate partners will be invited to attend the event. A networking lunch for employers and competitors will take place before the judges announce the winning teams.
- Presentation guidelines:
- Presentations cannot exceed 10 minutes, and will be followed by 3 minutes for questions from the judges.
- All team presentations must be submitted by April 13, 11:59 p.m.
