Moral Courage: Finding the Strength to Act

This year NCEA will provide an opportunity for Service Academy, ROTC and Civilian Students to openly discuss techniques that will allow them to rise to the occasion when moral courage is required to implement action.

Through candid conversations, plenary speakers and small group discus-sion, student-Leaders who attend will leave with tools to inspire moral courage on their campuses.

We are looking for undergraduate student leaders who do not mind giving their opinion during a small group discussion. We want students who will be actively engaged in the conversation and excited to share what they learned when they return to their campus.
We hold your recommendation in high esteem. In the past, we have found that the most engaged students come from the universities that made students work for this opportunity. We encourage you to have students interview with you, write essays or submit projects to earn this opportunity.
Absolutely! That is the beauty of this conference. In fact, cadets will serve as table facilitators for small group discussion.
The conference is FREE. In fact, West Point will pay for the students’ meals and lodging. The only aspect students are responsible for is the transportation to Newark Airport or the designated hotel (for those traveling by car).
No. West Point will provide transportation to and from the airport. During the conference, West Point will also provide transportation between the conference and the hotel.
YES! We are excited to show off the history and beauty of West Point. Students will take a guided bus tour of West Point.
We will not provide a tour of New York City, and we ask that students wishing to see the city do so after the 14th. We are not responsible for students wishing to stay extra days, and we will not provide lodging or transportation to the airport after the final airport drop off on February 15th.
The attire for the conference will be business casual. Winter clothes are recommended.
When we send out the official invitations there will be a link to RSVP. Booking your flight or transportation to New York is advised but not required before signing up.
Students will fly into Newark Airport in Newark, NJ. Airport code EWR.
This year we are giving 8 students the opportunity to earn full conference scholarships. Please see the scholarship information sheet for more information.

No. We ask that only students attend the conference. We strongly encourage you to interview your students after they have attended NCEA to share what they have learned.
