Professor Sue Sundar receives award from Utah’s 40 Over 40 program

Sue Sundar, director of the Operations & Supply Chain Program at the David Eccles School of Business, is a recipient of the 2023 Utah’s 40 Over 40 award.

Robyn Cohen, Diane Acevedo and Julia Deaver founded the 40 Over 40 program to celebrate women who are taking chances, changing lives and making an impact in their 40s and beyond. This is the second year the program has recognized 40 remarkable Utah women.

Sundar received her master’s and doctoral degrees from the Eccles School and was a visiting assistant professor at the Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University in Chicago. She joined the Eccles School in 2016, where she oversees the Operations & Supply Chain Program. Sundar also is an Academic Scholar at the Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Professor Sundar is a passionate teacher whose work with students has been recognized through multiple teaching and mentorship awards. She is a recipient of the Brady Faculty Superior Teaching award and the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative Leadership in Ethics Education Award. Sundar is a two-time recipient of the Business Career Services Faculty Career Mentor Award for exemplary passion and inspirational guidance in career development. She received the Quality Matters Star Award for DePaul Online Teaching and was recognized by the University of Utah LDS Student Association for Excellence in Education. Sundar also is a two-time recipient of the Outstanding Professor Award given by the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Chi at the University of Utah. Many of Sundar’s students have explored internship opportunities in top-notch companies through the capstone program she directs, paving the way for successful business careers.
