Congratulations to all Eccles Beginnings Summer Bridge students for participating in the annual Eccles Beginnings Case Competition. We are thrilled to announce a two-way tie for first place: The Case Busters and Team Nebula!
Each July, we welcome a cohort of incoming first-year students to campus as part of the Eccles Beginnings Summer Bridge program. During their time on campus, students take math and writing courses, meet with various campus members and departments, attend events, and participate in a case competition hosted by the Goff Strategic Leadership Center.
This year, the case tasked students to consider methods of fostering an inclusive community at the David Eccles School of Business. In crafting their final recommendations, students researched other institutions, engaged in rich dialogue with current students, and considered their personal experiences. During their final week on campus, students presented their recommendations to a full room of campus community members and a panel of judges. The recommendations were thoughtful, full of creativity, and showcased the students’ growth throughout the bridge program.
