Division of Quantitative Analysis of Markets & Organizations
Established in 2023, the Division of Quantitative Analysis of Markets & Organizations (QAMO) is the newest academic unit within the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business. The Division consists of economists with a shared interest in the applications of economic analysis to business decision-making. Our faculty publish research in leading economics journals, advises policy-makers at the federal, state, and local levels, writes business books, textbooks, and editorials, and teaches classes that are both rigorous and relevant to today’s business world.
Undergraduate
The QAMO undergraduate major focuses on the applications of economics to business decision-making, and is built to develop students’ quantitative and analytical skills. Students learn how markets work, how to think strategically, and how to analyze data. These foundational problem-solving skills allow students to take their careers in any direction. Our alumni work in consulting, banking, data analytics, and public policy, and attend top MBA programs, law schools, and Ph.D. programs.
