First Ascent Scholars Foster Community at Their Annual Spirit Bowl
The First Ascent Scholars program at the David Eccles School of Business recently gathered for their annual Spirit Bowl event. Designed to strengthen community bonds between board members and students while fostering cohort relationships, the event featured several engaging activities that challenged participants' knowledge, teamwork abilities, and creativity. The celebration began with Kahoot Trivia, where students showcased their knowledge of the program, including First Ascent Scholars history, resources, requirements, and key community members. West Valley City Partners with Opportunity Scholars for Hockey Night
West Valley City (WVC) demonstrated its commitment to fostering community and supporting the Opportunity Scholars Program by generously providing 200 tickets to a Utah Grizzlies hockey game for students in the program. Beyond providing entertainment, the event also served as a valuable stress reliever for students navigating the demands of midterms.
