Opportunity Scholars explore Kuleana at annual leadership retreat

Opportunity Scholars recently held its annual leadership retreat in Park City, UT. This year's theme centered around Kuleana, a Hawaiian value that translates to responsibility and privilege, and how reciprocity is key to successfully leading others. Media Coverage of School of Accounting Faculty Research

On October 19, 2023, The Economist, a leading weekly newspaper, published an article about the role of luck in career success. The article highlighted a recent paper written by Atif Ellahie, Associate Professor at the School of Accounting, with co-authors Martina Andreani and Lakshmanan Shivakumar. In their paper, Professor Ellahie and his co-authors examine the nonrecurring effects of the US Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 on the remeasurement of deferred taxes.
