Darrin’s experience in higher education spans many years and has given him the opportunity to serve students in many capacities, including advising and teaching. Most recently, Darrin worked for Old Dominion Freight Lines as a Regional Technology Trainer and has done Adjunct work at Salt Lake Community College.

Darrin believes in being student centric and strives to display this thinking in what he does on a daily basis. He says he likes to “aspire to inspire.”

Darrin earned a bachelors degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, a masters degree from Webster University in Management, two graduate certificates, one in Adult Learning from Walden University and another in Instructional Design from Bowling Green State University.

Outside of work, Darrin likes quality family time and enjoys attending family events and enjoys traveling. He has five children and four grandchildren. Darrin is a Utah Football fan and also watches Real Salt Lake, a professional soccer team.
