Bryant Gurrola
Academic Advisor I
Undergraduate Advising Services, Undergraduate Programs
Bryant is a Southern California native, who grew up in Redlands, CA. After high school, she attended a small liberal arts college for a short period of time, realizing that a change in major and a larger college atmosphere was the place for her. After a gap year, she went to Bowling Green State University in Ohio. During her undergraduate, she was very involved in the Honors College as the President of Honors Ambassadors and Senior Intern for Advising. She also was involved in Greek Life, serving in multiple positions in her sorority as well as the Vice President of Academics for the College Panhellenic Council.
Through her multiple leadership roles and experiences, she realized her love for higher education. The thing she loves most in this role is being able to help and change students’ lives, which is the same positive and inspiring support she found from her own advisors during her undergraduate career.
Outside of work, Bryant is passionate about learning and immersing herself in what Utah has to offer. She is currently being instructed by her husband while getting her pilot’s license and is trying to master new techniques on the ski slopes. After being a Lakers fan her whole life, Bryant has now transitioned to being an avid Jazz supporter. Bryant can be found waking up very early to watch Formula 1 or catching up on her favorite Bravo shows. She also loves to travel with her husband, with her family now living in Maine and friends living in California and Ohio. Since she isn’t busy enough, she has just started her Master’s of Education with an emphasis on Higher Education and Student Affairs at SUU.
