Bryant Gurrola

Academic Advisor I

Undergraduate Advising Services, Undergraduate Programs

Bryant is a born and raised Southern California native, living in Redlands, CA most of her life. After high school, she attended a small liberal arts college for a short period of time, realizing that a change in major and a larger college atmosphere was the place for her. After a gap year, she went to Bowling Green State University in Ohio. During her undergraduate, she was very involved in the Honors College as the President of Honors Ambassadors and Senior Intern for Advising. She also was involved in Greek Life, serving in multiple positions in her sorority as well as the Vice President of Academics for the College Panhellenic Council.

Through her multiple leadership roles and experiences, she realized her love for higher education. Coming to the U in 2024, she is excited to be a part of Salt Lake City and University life. The thing she is looking forward to most in this role is being able to help and change students’ lives, which is the same positive and inspiring support she found from her own advisors during her undergraduate career.

Outside of work, Bryant can be found waking up very early to watch Formula 1 or staying up late to catch up on her favorite Bravo shows. She also received her Yoga Teacher Certification in 2020 and tries her hardest to practice her own mindfulness techniques. She also loves to travel with her husband, with her family now living in Maine and friends living in California and Ohio.
