During Summer Semester 2026, students can earn a full Minor in Fintech while studying in Paris, France, and Barcelona, Spain. Visit tech companies and local businesses and spend weekends exploring incredible sites!
Students are responsible for a current passport.*
Pre-requisites
Business students must complete FINAN 2140 before Spring 2026.
Non-business students must complete FINAN 3020 before Spring 2026.
The Fintech minor is open to all students with a University of Utah GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Amp up your degree while you explore!
The Fintech minor introduces students to business models and technologies that drive financial innovation and adds digital capabilities to a student’s understanding of the financial services industry. Topics include distributed ledger technology, digital assets, and open finance.
Fintech Minor Abroad Fee
$16,800
Fee includes tuition and fees, housing, limited in-country transportation, and planned excursions.

Passport Requirement
Students are responsible for obtaining their own passports and any applicable visas.*
