Frequently Asked Questions

Yes you can! We can provide a letter certifying your time abroad with the University of Utah.

Yes we do, all scholarships offered can be found here.

Short answer is no! While knowing some of the local language can be helpful, it is certainly not a requirement. Our study abroad programs are typically located in areas where many tourists travel to every year. Many local people know that these tourists speak English.

Typically not! Our most popular programs are during the summer and fall and spring break. You may have a delay in graduation if you attend a Spring semester program. Please plan with your academic advisor.

Most students tend to be sophomores, but we welcome all years of undergraduate students to Eccles Global programs. Make sure to complete any pre-requisite courses that must be completed before the start of the program chosen.
The cost of each Eccles Global Program varies! The costs included are excursions, housing, transportation, and tuition. For our Fall and Spring break trips, Airfare to and from the destination is also included.

You will still need to select a section of all three classes when you complete the BSE enrollment form. We do need a certain number of students to commit to an Eccles Global class in order to run it, so there is always a chance that the summer abroad offering could be canceled. We recommend selecting AND registering for all classes that you need to complete your lower division requirements in spring, even if you plan to take one of them through study abroad. IF we do need to cancel, we will make that decision BEFORE the start of spring semester. Once we confirm that your summer Eccles Global class is happening, you’ll be able to drop that class from your spring schedule. If you have any questions about how to plan for spring and summer, please work with your academic advisor or check in with Noah Bodnar.

No you do not, you will be enrolled in your abroad classes automatically.

All University of Utah Students are welcome to apply to any Eccles Global week-long or semester-long trips.
