On Jan. 24, 2020, the Eccles School hosted its second annual Business Strategy Case Competition, sponsored by Dominion Energy. Hosted by the Office of Student Inclusion and the Goff Strategic Leadership Center, this competition was the culminating event of Eccles Inclusion Week.

Trish Gorman, director of the Goff Strategic Leadership Center, selected this year’s case, which focused on gender-based branding and advertising of the Easy Bake Oven. Student teams used multiple identities and perspectives as they considered the impact of inclusive practices in advertising.

Judges were impressed with the quality of our Eccles student teams and expressed the challenge of determining a winner.

Local corporate partners also attended the event and participated in a networking lunch for team members and attendees.
