The David Eccles School of Business is hosting its first-ever Business Grad Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 12, welcoming students from across the Intermountain West and the University of Utah campus to explore the elite programs offered by the U’s business school.

“There has been a huge increase in demand for business graduate programs, from students hoping to expand on their undergraduate studies, and from working professionals who want to change career paths or enhance their current jobs,” said Andrea Miller, Director of Graduate Admissions for the David Eccles School of Business. “This inaugural Business Grad Fair offers an ideal way for people to learn about all the programs we have to offer, from leaders at the school and current students, all in one place.”

Held in an open-house format, visitors have a four-hour window to explore the David Eccles School of Business’s full spectrum of graduate-level opportunities, including the Full-Time, Professional and online MBA programs,  Information Systems, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Real Estate Development and its Ph.D. track. There will also be a GMAT/GRE test preparation component.

While representatives for all of the business school’s graduate programs will be on hand throughout the fair—running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.—there are also special sessions set up during the day to delve deeper into students’ options:

11 a.m.-11:45 a.m. Graduate Program Panel. Program directors and representatives will take part in a  panel discussion about their respective programs.

12:15 p.m.-1 p.m. Career Management Panel. Representatives and career coaches from  the Graduate Career Management Center will showcase services available to graduate students , from resume preparation and interview prep to company visits.

1:15-2 p.m. GMAT/GRE Workshop.  University of Utah Continuing Education Test Prep will present a mini-workshop answering the most frequently asked questions about taking the GMAT or GRE.

The 2014 Business Grad Fair will be held in Bill and Pat Child Family Community Hall, Spencer Fox Eccles Business Building Room 7170, on Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sandwiches and snacks will be provided, and no RSVP or pre-registration is necessary.
