Two MBA programs among best in nation in U.S. News rankings

Two MBA programs at the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business have been ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in their annual Best Business Schools rankings.

The Eccles School’s Full-Time MBA program advanced four spots to No. 48, placing it in the top 50 full-time MBA programs in the nation. Meanwhile, the Professional MBA program ranked No. 34, an increase of 10 spots over last year’s part-time MBA rankings.

The magazine’s 2021 rankings of on-campus MBA programs were released today, complementing the previously released top 20 ranking for the MBA Online program at the Eccles School.

This recognition for both the on-campus and online offerings at the Eccles School are validation of the effort invested into providing engaging, impact-driven graduate business education to Eccles students regardless of format. Students in the Professional MBA program have the ability to take on-campus or online courses, combining the best of both worlds.

To calculate rankings for the best on-campus MBA programs, U.S. News & World Report sent survey requests to all 477 MBA programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). A total of 364 responded. Of those, 131 were included in the rankings released this year. For this ranking, U.S. News & World Report based their results on a weighted average of peer assessment, recruiter assessment, placement success and admissions selectivity.
