Business Career Services hosts a podcast called HeyU, created by students at the David Eccles School of Business. Although it caters primarily to students and recent alumni exploring the world of business and career-building, anyone looking to learn more about companies and building their careers can benefit.
The podcast team regularly identifies employers and partners of the David Eccles School of Business, interviews them, comments and culls together ideas, and puts together short and punchy episodes that discuss industries, companies, and careers.
For example, the episode “How Microsoft gets it wrong and makes it right” features an interview with Microsoft’s General Manager of Finance, Mat McBride. McBride discusses how failures at the tech company have shown him how to improve their approach to growth. In addition to Microsoft, the podcast team has spoken to leaders at KEEN, Domo, Cotopaxi, and more.
