Looking for a snack between classes? Maybe you need a little pick me up between your BCOR block or ran out of time at home and didn’t get a chance to make your coffee. Here is a list of my top 5 places to grab a bite to eat or a coffee within a 5-minute walk of Spencer Fox Eccles Business Building.

Cafe Madsen on the 5th floor of SFEBB

If you are short on time, Cafe Madsen is perfect for you! It is located on the 5th floor of SFEBB and has a wide selection of coffee and food. This little cafe is owned by the same people who run Jeeva’s Greek Cafe, so you know it is good! Here, they offer Mexican food, which includes quesadillas, burritos, rice, and beans. Check here for up-to-date operating hours.

Jeeva’s Greek Cafe in the Garff Building

Jeeva’s Greek Cafe is the best food on campus, hands down! They have great fries and great gyros…what else could you ask for? Located in the Garff Building, it makes for a great change in scenery and a study break. Check here for up-to-date operating hours.

Food Hall in CRCC

The Food Hall in the CRCC has just opened! This grab-and-go option for eating is perfect if you are looking for some quick food before going to curl up to study. You can get anything from a black bean burger to sushi. They also have great snacking options if you want some Pop-Tarts or chips! You can check here for the most up-to-date hours.

Museum Cafe in Utah Museum of Fine Arts (UMFA)

If you want to splurge, I recommend treating yourself at the cafe in UMFA. They have sandwiches, soups, salads, and coffee, of course. You don’t have to worry about actually visiting the museum if you don’t have time, but it is free for U students. Even though the price is a little bit on the expensive side, it is worth it with the portions of food and the taste! For the most up-to-date hours, I recommend visiting their website.

UHungry in the University Services Building

The UHungry Cafe is the furthest option from SFEBB, clocking in at a 5-minute walk, but that is an excellent excuse for a mental health break. UHungry is a great budget-friendly option that has an extensive menu. There is coffee (always a must) and many food options, including daily specials. You can visit here for up-to-date hours.
