Study: Tourism significant to rural Utah economy

New research has found that tourism, vital to Utah’s economy overall, is especially important to the economies of rural, less-populated counties across the state.

The study, released by the University of Utah’s Bureau of Economic and Business Research, shows that the Wasatch Front dominates in terms of tourism sales, county sales tax revenues and jobs.
