Communicate With Your Boss

Delegate Where Possible and Necessary 

It can be hard to trust your team members to accomplish important work in a correct and timely manner. For this reason, some workers feel obligated to accomplish every task by themselves. This allows for a sense of control so the worker feels that no mistakes will be made and the work will be finished by its due date. While this practice may be effective for a short time, refusing to allow others on your team to uphold their responsibilities is a perfect recipe for ruining your work-life balance.

Take a look at your task list. If you’re in a position that enables you to delegate tasks to other employees, do so where possible. This will help make sure you can leave the office at five every day. If the employees you delegate to are not up to the tasks you provide them, then you’ve been presented with a chance to help them improve.
