The Sorenson Impact Institute offers students a unique blend of academic teaching and hands-on experience in impact investing. Since 2013, the Sorenson Impact Investing Student Program has invested nearly $43 million in over 100 companies across 16 countries. These investments are funded by the Sorenson Impact Foundation, the Joan and Tim Fenton Founders Fund, and the University Venture Fund, a student-led initiative.
The program’s innovative approach allows students to work in deal teams, making real venture investments in impact-focused companies. This experiential learning model bridges the gap between classroom theory and real-world application, preparing students for impactful careers.
