The David Eccles School of Business is introducing a new online degree program, the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS).  The constantly evolving field of information systems and the online format both further the school’s value of innovation.

Students in the MSIS Online receive the same high level of instruction as students in the on-campus program, including shared faculty and curriculum. Online students can complete the program from any location, and provides flexibility for students who have heavy travel commitments or rotating professional schedules. Additionally, students can choose to enroll in classes full-time or part-time.

“Our MSIS degree has been one of the fastest-growing programs at the Eccles School and we are proud to extend the opportunity of higher education online and make the curriculum more accessible to students across the nation and world,” said Mark Parker, Eccles School associate dean of programs. “Students in any location can receive the same world-class instruction and open doors to top career opportunities in technology.”

The MSIS Online curriculum follows the same rigorous schedule and timeline as the on-campus program. Students frequently engage with peers on group projects and can connect with faculty during live weekly webinars. Students in the online program also have access to a number of student resources, including individual career coaching and advising.

“The MSIS Online offers students the ability to manage work and home schedules in addition to graduate school,” said Laurie Bragg, director of the MSIS Online program. “With the growing need for technology professionals, the MSIS Online will give more people access and opportunity to enter the industry.”

The MSIS Online program is now accepting applications for Summer and Fall 2017. More information is available at MSISOnline.Eccles.Utah.edu or by contacting MSISinfo@Eccles.Utah.edu.
