National honor society, Beta Alpha Psi, honors Eccles School chapter

In September 2024, the board of directors of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP), honored the David Eccles School of Business Epsilon Xi chapter for its outstanding achievement with Gold chapter status.

BAP is a nationally recognized student honor society comprised of students majoring in finance, information systems, and accounting. BAP encourages ethical business practices and provides unique opportunities for students to network with peers and professionals and to learn soft skills that will set members apart in their careers.

The chapter has earned this impressive distinction under the exceptional leadership of Eccles School faculty members Geoffrey Pears and Marci Butterfield. “…the chapter has earned international recognition as a Gold chapter, an accomplishment that speaks volumes about the dedication and excellence of your department,” according to the letter of recognition. “Under the inspiring stewardship of these faculty advisors, your chapter has far exceeded Beta Alpha Psi’s baseline requirements, excelling in academics, professionalism, and ethical leadership.”

The honor is accompanied by a $500 award.
