Students in the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program at the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business can now tout a top 10 program ranking in the United States.

The 2017 TFE Times rankings named the Eccles School MSBA program No. 10 in the U.S. The degree launched in late 2016, making 2017 the first year the MSBA program was eligible to receive a ranking.

“We’re thrilled that such a young program has achieved a top 10 ranking,” said Associate Dean of Programs Mark Parker. “This ranking is a testament to the strength of our faculty and staff who contribute to providing innovative curriculum and forward-thinking concepts to our students.”

The Eccles School is home to Utah’s only business analytics graduate program. Students gain advanced skills in both analytics and management, preparing them to enter the lucrative data industry.

“With a number of analytics-focused technology and Fortune 500 companies locating to Utah in the past decade, it has been a goal of the Eccles School to educate students to meet this industry need,” said Bradden Blair, director of the MSBA program. “Having a specialized graduate degree in business analytics has made a difference for our graduates and for companies looking to generate new insights from their data assets.”

The TFE Times rankings are based on program average GMAT scores, undergraduate GPAs, admission rates, post-graduation employment rates and average starting salaries. See the full rankings.
