Dear David Eccles School of Business Community,
By now I’m sure you have seen the communications from the Campus Alert system and President Pershing regarding the tragic events that occurred yesterday evening that resulted in the senseless death of student ChenWei Guo, a U student who was also taking courses at the Eccles School. I want to echo President Pershing’s support for our community and to let you know that we at the Eccles School are here for you during this difficult time.
These events appear to have been a random crime with the suspect having no apparent connection to the institution. Public safety has now lifted secure-in-place and reopened access to all parts of the institution.
While classes are cancelled today, please know that campus resources are open and here for you now and in the future:
