No plans for fall break? As we step into the new season, with the weather cooling down and the leaves changing color, it’s the perfect time to explore the variety of activities Utah has to offer. This season invites us to step outside and enjoy the festivities it brings. Here are three last-minute ideas to do during Fall break!
1) Take a scenic drive
Just minutes away from campus is Big Cottonwood Canyon. Take in the breathtaking views of golden aspens against the towering mountains. Another local favorite is the Alpine Loop. This scenic drive is sure to take your breath away as you coast through the colorful autumn trees. Don’t forget to stop by the Highland Gardens on your way back and visit Bubba’s Frozen Treats for a delicious, sweet treat!
2) Attend a Fall festival
Cross E Ranch has just opened its doors for the annual Fall Festival, and it’s a must-visit destination for those looking to embrace the spirit of the season! Enjoy a variety of activities such as sunflower picking, corn mazes, a pumpkin patch, movie nights, and so much more! Tickets range from $18-95 – $22.95 depending on the day you visit and must be purchased online.
3) Visit a haunted house
What better way to dive into the Halloween spirit than by visiting a haunted house? Utah boasts some of the spookiest attractions, featuring elaborate sets and talented actors ready to give you a thrill. Whether you prefer a family-friendly experience or a truly terrifying haunt, there’s something for everyone. Check out local favorites like Nightmare on 13th or Fear Factory for a thrilling surprise.
