The expertise across a number of areas among the faculty, administration and staff of the David Eccles School of Business is not news to us, but it’s nice to see the world beyond campus recognize it, too.

Late last week, one of our associate deans, Natalie Gochnour, was called on by The Salt Lake Tribune to take part in an online discussion of how the government shutdown will affect people. Natalie offered some great insights, drawing on her vast experience in economics, speaking alongside BYU political scientist Quin Monson and one of the Tribune‘s political correspondents, Thomas Burr.

Check out the chat when you have a chance, and you’ll be up to speed on what’s happening in Washington thanks to Gochnour and her fellow panelists. You can find the discussion right here.
