First Ascent Scholars celebrates a superb school year, welcomes new students
First Ascent Scholars celebrated their End-of-Year Celebration on Saturday, May 25.
This was a big celebration where all the First Ascent Scholars got together with their friends, families, and mentors to celebrate the end of a successful school year and to welcome all the new scholars.
So far, First Ascent has been able to graduate six scholars. Every year, the program admits 10-12 new students to be welcomed into the program and into the First Ascent family.
During the event, the scholars were able to hear from Natalie Lam, a graduating senior in the program, where she recollected memories of her time in the program.
She professed her gratitude to Victoria Cabal, the program director, and to Jeff and Helen Cardon, her mentors and First Ascent Scholars founders and donors. She advised all the current and new scholars to enjoy their time in the program, to “get involved,” network, and “be present.”
