Eccles School team wins Diversity and Business Ethics Case Competition

The 3rd Annual Diversity and Business Ethics Case Competition hosted by the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder had 13 teams competing this past weekend, two of them from the David Eccles School of Business.

Arriving late Thursday night in Boulder, Eccles School teams Wasatch Consulting and Green Elephant Consulting were both comprised of Opportunity Scholars and First Ascent Scholars. All teams were given two weeks to assess the case and deliver a thorough solution and presentation on Friday. Only six teams would be given a twist to the case after the first day of competition, qualifying them for the second day of the competition on Saturday morning.

Qualifying for the second day, Wasatch Consulting worked rigorously throughout Friday night to resolve the twist given by the judges. After delivering their resolution and two days of high-level competition, Wasatch Consulting was able to earn 1st place in the competition as well as a $5,000 prize.

Both teams represented the University of Utah extremely well and established the Eccles School as a strong contender for years to come. Congratulations to Wasatch Consulting!
