The Full-Time and Professional MBA programs at the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business have continued their momentum in this year’s U.S. News & World Report’s Best Business Schools ranking. The rankings of on-campus MBA programs were released today, adding to the previously released top-20 ranking for the MBA Online program at the Eccles School.

The Eccles School’s Full-Time MBA advanced four spots to No. 44, improving four spots over last year. The Professional MBA program advanced to No. 28, increasing six spots over last year’s part-time MBA ranking. This 2021 part-time MBA ranking represents an astounding 80 spot increase for the Professional MBA program over the past five years.

“It is wonderful to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report, and it is significant in light of all that has happened in the last year,” said Taylor Randall, dean of the David Eccles School of Business. “The resiliency and determination that our students, staff, and faculty showed in continuing to create an opportunity for world-class business education to thrive during a global pandemic are incredible.”

To calculate rankings for the best on-campus MBA programs, U.S. News & World Report sent survey requests to all 486 MBA programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). A total of 364 responded and of those, 143 were included in the rankings released this year. For this ranking, U.S. News & World Report based their results on a weighted average of peer assessment, recruiter assessment, placement success, and admissions selectivity.
