Eccles School hosts global investment competition with students from all over the world

The halls of the David Eccles School of Business campus will soon be bustling with roughly 170 Young Investors Society high school students from all over the world participating in the 2023 Global Stock Pitch Extravaganza. The two-day competition is filled with investment workshops, professional speakers, competitions, and much more. The event has recently experienced tremendous growth, doubling last year’s attendance. The Eccles School is proud to host students from Colombia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Dominican Republic, South Korea, China, and 15 U.S. states. These high school students are all winners of their state/territory and will compete for over $9,000 in prizes and paid internship positions in the semi-finals and finals on May 11 and 12.

The Young Investors Society was formed by a group of Wall Street investors dedicated to preparing the next generation of investors. The Society teaches high school students financial literacy fundamentals and long-term investing in a fun and exciting way. Its mission is to inspire youth to be outstanding investors – investors in companies, investors in their communities, and investors in themselves.
