The David Eccles School of Business will induct two new members to its Hall of Fame, and honor three others as it introduces new awards at the 2017 ceremony, to be held April 18.

The Hall of Fame honors individuals who have distinguished themselves in their careers and serve as models to present and future students. This year, the Eccles School will honor Crystal Maggelet, CEO of FJ Management, a company that manages a diverse portfolio of oil and travel-related companies including Maverik convenience stores and Big West Oil. The Eccles School also will posthumously induct Parry Thomas, a banker who is credited with helping to build Las Vegas into a major tourist destination.

Additionally, the ceremony will include three awards new for 2017. David Stirling, co-founder and president of booming essential oils company doTERRA, will receive the Distinguished Entrepreneur award. James Worthington, CEO of bakery restaurant Kneaders, will be honored as a Rising Star in his field. Alumni Doug Ohlson, vice president of Adcentives West, will receive the award for Alumni Service.

The awards will be presented at a ceremony and luncheon Tuesday, April 18 at the University of Utah’s Rice-Eccles Stadium. A social begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch and an awards presentation at noon.
