Tara Hardison will receive the inaugural David Eccles Award for Entrepreneurship.
Tara is the associate director of communication and outreach for the Undergraduate Advising office. While she works with students to help them achieve their educational goals, Tara also works tirelessly to cultivate an inclusive culture at the Eccles School.
She created a roundtable discussion series and inclusion trainings for faculty, staff and students. Her actions embodied the entrepreneurship we embrace as a school, and she took the steps necessary to direct our school’s culture to be even more inclusive.
“I’ve very proud of Tara for taking this on and showing that entrepreneurial spirit we tout as a school,” one nominator wrote. “She recognized an issue and devised and implemented a solution, putting in the hard work to execute events that help us as staff and faculty understand our rights and responsibilities.”
