Earlier this week, the David Eccles School of Business hosted the 28th annual Spencer Fox Eccles Convocation and had the pleasure to host honorable keynote speaker Gail Miller.
The impressive business woman discussed her triumphs as she evolved from being a timid housewife and stay-at-home mom to successfully owning and running 60 car dealerships, the Utah Jazz, the Salt Lake Bees, Megaplex Theatres, and employing more than 10,000 people. Miller also discussed how gratitude has played an important role in her life, quoting Melody Beattie, “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.”
