BSG Service Project: Warmth For All

Business Student Government (BSG) encourages students to fully engage in the experiences available to them at the David Eccles School of Business. Our mission is to foster belonging, and one way we do this is by offering meaningful hands-on initiatives for students to help those in need in their community. For our October service project, BSG organized an event called “Warmth For All.”

As the cold weather sets in, many of us are excited about the change of seasons in Salt Lake City. However, it’s important to remember that not everyone has the privilege of a warm place to stay. Unhoused individuals will face the challenges of staying warm and safe during the colder months. The “Warmth For All” event is intended to help combat this issue, with students assembling 100 warmth kits that include a beanie, gloves, a scarf, and hand warmers. These supplies will be donated to the 4th Street Clinic, which helps individuals experiencing homelessness by offering a variety of important resources, namely high-quality integrated healthcare.

“As the temperature is getting colder and it’s about to start snowing, this event was a great opportunity to help the community stay warm throughout the winter.”

-Wyatt Boyle, University of Utah freshman
