BLInc students party in the sky
Business Leaders Inc. Marketing Chair Scott Hamilton, a pre-business student planning on majoring in Marketing, writes about the group’s “Night in the Sky” party held earlier this fall.
I had never been up on the roof of the new Spencer Fox Eccles Business Building, so I was excited at the prospect of BLInc (Business Leaders Inc.) holding a social up in the brisk night sky.
The weather could not have been more perfect for a gathering of business students representing an array of different majors and careers. The live jazz music provided by our own University jazz band was spectacular and made it very easy to enjoy this amazing networking opportunity.
But it wasn’t just students who enjoyed the night. Dean Randall Taylor and Associate Dean of Undergraduate Affairs Mark Parker were also in attendance, discussing and sharing their vision of the future of the business school. It was great to see these men in attendance and mingling up close and personal with students, staff, and faculty alike.
It was great being able to walk around in the Bill and Pat Child Family Community Hall as well as out on the balcony and to see so many students creating connections and friendships with their like-minded peers. Contact information was shared, many clubs’ membership increased, and much more took place because of the work Event Chair Moraya Dodson and her colleagues with BLInc. put in to planning this “Night in the Sky,” a night not soon forgotten!
